I stand by the strong statement that this show was a real letdown and felt like a staged nostalgia money grab. The band was incredible, as always. There were a few things to love, and more to be disappointed by. The female singers were incredible, new to me. They really gave Great Gig in the Sky a new texture and gave it their all, doing a lot of harmonizing, which is new. The show itself seemed strained and at times uncomfortable. Fetty seemed present and ok, his voice was good. The motion control video screens and pop up props were technically OK but completely bisected the arena, and worse, the stage. Aside from a technically impressive laser show, there was no real lighting, aside from some stage wash and a few accent lights. It looked unwieldy and unnecessary. This was a major letdown after the technical brilliance of The Wall tour a few years ago. The performances felt stodgy and cobbled together. Fetty just stitched the Floyd songs together with no real care or forethought. Another Brick in the Wall was cute but uncomfortably "staged". The teens next to me were losing their minds, and rightly so. I'm sure it was special for them if this was their first time seeing him. After seeing him one more time, sadly, I do not think I would do it again.
